Governments are increasingly concerned at reliance on vulnerable space capabilities for national security, and the proliferation of offensive counterspace capabilities that could be used to disrupt, deny, degrade, or destroy space systems. In this report for the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Todd Harrison, Kaitlyn Johnson et al heighten awareness of the threats, notably those emanating from China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea; debunk myths and misinformation; and highlight areas of focus for senior leaders and policymakers.
