Is Public Trust in the UN Falling? A Look at Global Survey Data

While trust in the UN has gradually eroded over the course of several decades, there was little evidence of a major, widespread drop in trust despite major crises like the COVID-19 pandemic and Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. At the same time, confidence in the UN was fairly tepid overall and quite low in some parts of the Middle East and North Africa, Latin America, and Eastern Europe.
