A Rights-based Approach to Digital Health

This article summarises Privacy International’s view on why a rights-based approach to digital health is needed for privacy. People’s needs in relation to these rights can differ. What states must do to provide for those rights, so that they can both be achieved without unfair or unacceptable trade-off, needs careful consideration. Privacy is intimately connected to healthcare because healthcare is itself deeply intimate.
